Providing important announcements and information for Leafish clients - check here if you are experiencing issues with any of our services. This site is hosted independently of leafish.co.uk and other client sites so information should always be available to anyone experiencing problems.
A morning of site administration for us today: Drupal 6.3 and 5.8 were released, fixing several security vulnerabilities (see Security Advisory SA-2008-044). All of our clients' sites have been updated - please contact us if you are having any Drupal-related issues.
There has also been some connectivity issues at the UK data centre which houses a small handful of our clients' sites. The problem "was outside the UH [United Hosting] network and actually part of a major routing issue", but has been resolved and our supplier are striving to get some feedback from their peers.
If you are experiencing any issues, please let us know!
Some of our clients may have experienced problems connecting to sites and mail this weekend after power outages at the data-centre which houses one of our servers. We have been notified that, after an exhausting weekend for all engineers involved, the issue has now been fixed. Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.
Some information from our supplier follows.
Update
This issue should be resolved, and our domain registrar has issued this message:
123-reg experienced intermittent performance issues on its DNS servers between late afternoon on Friday 16 November through to Sunday 18 November. This meant that some customers have encountered difficulties with their domain names, including the visibility of websites and services such as web and email forwarding during this period.
This problem was caused by a combination of excessive loading on the DNS services and a rare hardware failure. During this time, 123-reg engineers have replaced the hardware and full service is resumed.
If you have been affected by this matter, please be assured that your website, web and email forwarding services will automatically resume after full propagation of up to 48 hours.
We apologise to our customers for the inconvenience that the outage would have caused.
One of our domain registrars is currently having some major issues with their nameservers, which is causing problems with several of our client's domains. The issue is affecting web site traffic and e-mail in some cases.
This is currently out of our control, but we have received word from the registrar that they are aware of the problem and are looking at it "as a matter of urgency".
Apologies for the inconvenience.
