Power outages at data centre
Some of our clients may have experienced problems connecting to sites and mail this weekend after power outages at the data-centre which houses one of our servers. We have been notified that, after an exhausting weekend for all engineers involved, the issue has now been fixed. Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.
Some information from our supplier follows.
This morning, Saturday, November 24, our Housing provider lost some of its power which affected large parts of our Data Center.
This provider is delivering our power which include A and B feeds, UPS's and Diesel generators as to prevent power outages. For some unknown reason we lost both the A and B feeds, no UPS's or Diesel generators were activated, and for some unknown reason no alarms went off. As both our primary and secondary monitoring systems were randomly not powered no alerts reached us.

The power situation was re-established just before noon on Saturday, November 24, and we received a confirmation from our Housing provider and their engineers, that everything would now be stable.
For some unknown reason this showed not to be the case. Another breakdown of power occurred tonight just before midnight but power was established almost immediately. Engineers have been, and still are, working non-stop since yesterday to find the cause of this unfortunate power issue and to repair.

Our Housing provider has just informed us that the power issue causing partial outages during this week-end has been fixed.
